"I can feed myself, Midna," Link protested feebly. The imp rose her eyebrow mockingly, then shook her head.
"Yes, you probably could, but then you'd also spill this hot soup on yourself and then we'd be waiting even longer for you to be back on your feet," she chided.
It'd been nearly two days now since Hyrule's hero had stumbled from the Yetis' chamber. He'd meant to give Yeti and Yeto time alone after freeing the female from her possession, despite his grueling injuries and pressing exhaustion. Unfortunately it had caught up to him as he descended the long stairwell of the mansion.
The last thing Link could remember was blacking out somewhere on that stairwell.
Midna had been beside herself with worry. It had been a huge relief when he finally opened his eyes only hours ago, having spent the last two days wrapped in bandages and blankets in the living room of the Yetis' mansion.
She'd scolded him for getting himself hurt until his ears rung. But now as she tilted a bowl of warm soup to his lips and he warily closed his eyes as he drank from it, she couldn't help smiling.
He was going to be okay.
I'm very pleased with this. One of those rare occasions where the picture drew itself.
Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed drawing it out. Apologies if the writing is a bit muddled--I'm way out of practice.
Yes, I left it kind of sketchy on purpose. ^_^ I've been fond of that look lately, and I think it helped warm this up even more.
Link's cheek looks a bit swollen, but yours probably would too had you fallen down a bunch of stairs after getting beaten up by some crazed yeti
Let's pretend it was intentional...lol
